about

On «Cadence», Robert Gerard Pietrusko continues his studies of repetition with constant variation. His first release for FMR presents four new meditations on slow progression, harmonic unfolding, and timbral evolution. “Cadence” and “Our Wound Supposes No Cure” originally performed during the Non-Event at Home program 28, 30 June 2020.

Robert Gerard Pietrusko is an architect and composer based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in Paris and has been exhibited in more than 15 countries at venues such as the Museum of Modern Art, Akademie der Künste, Palais de Tokyo, and the Venice Architecture Biennale. Recently, Pietrusko was awarded the 2021 Rome Prize for landscape architecture. His last full length cassette, Elegiya, was released by ROOM40 in July 2021.
