Troubled: Displacement | Erosion

by Burke Jam

about

Troubled: Displacement | Erosion is made of interwoven field-recordings from the Oregon coastal range, the Columbia River basin, the Utah/Nevada desert and salt flats, White Sands, New Mexico, and the urban sprawl of North Texas. It traces the path of the artist's geographic relocation and the subsequent disorientation/destabilization of home, place, and self. The recordings are a combination of ambisonic site-captures, micro-detail and textural site-notes, as well as electromagnetic and VLF atmospheric recordings.
