about

For the making of this recording the following things were invoked: Temporal manipulations, loops, the ghosts of lap steel players, coffee, cats, synths, field recordings, and tapes.

"Rainbow Kaleidoscope For Constants" began as a misheard line from the Great British Bake Off and the desire to make a soundtrack to an ambient road movie. There is no actual movie but that's the joy of these things, it's a soundtrack to take you anywhere you see fit.
There's a level of transmutation here, melodies from a past life that keep pulling you back. The process hasn't changed, it's the alchemical process. Base material made into something new. If the KLF, Biosphere and Coil got stuck in an elevator, you're getting there.
